Our Founder's Story
Damilola Esan-Williams is a multifaceted professional making significant strides as a Dental Therapist, Public Health Expert, Author, Brand Developer, Writer, and Personal Development Coach. Her work has inspired many individuals to unlock their potential and pursue personal growth.
With seven e-books authored, Damilola showcases her skill in creating engaging content that resonates deeply with readers. As an award-winning Global Leader and Team Lead at The LEAD Foundation, she is dedicated to teaching the effective use of language and grammar, helping individuals build self-confidence and articulate their ideas with poise.
In addition to her educational initiatives, Damilola organizes outreach programs aimed at promoting self-awareness and purpose discovery, providing access to quality education for underserved communities. Through the Readers Cohort, a branch of her NGO, she cultivates a vibrant community of writers, readers, and public speakers, encouraging continuous learning and collaboration.
Damilola's expertise extends to content creation, CV and resume development, editing, and proofreading, enabling numerous scholars and professionals to achieve their aspirations through her writing brand, Lizdachris Innovative Writing Solution.
As an award-winning Surprise Call Ambassador, she has made a profound impact across Africa and beyond by fostering connections and driving positive change through her exceptional communication skills.
Her qualifications include certifications in leadership, creative writing, public speaking, networking, storytelling, and advocacy in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Damilola is on a purposeful journey, demonstrating a strong commitment to personal development and empowerment.
The LEAD Foundation in Cameroun
The LEAD Foundation brought a message of confidence and self-belief to the students of Rene Bilingual Secondary College in Douala, Cameroon — and it was nothing short of inspiring.
Led by the Coordinators, Ma'am Jenet Atabong, Ma'am Bianca Banfila, and Ma'am Mirabel Beri, the outreach gathered over 50 vibrant students eager to learn, share, and grow. The session explored the theme of Self-Confidence through engaging activities — from questionnaires and short talks to games like Pitch Yourself, Talk Down, Tongue Twisters, and Read Worm.
Each activity encouraged the students to step out of their comfort zones and rediscover the power of their voices. One unforgettable moment was when a shy Form Five student, who could barely speak at first, found the courage to introduce herself boldly before her classmates. By the end of the program, she stood tall, confident, smiling, and proud. It was a beautiful reminder of what self-confidence can do.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, learning, and transformation. The school administrators were deeply moved and expressed their desire to have The LEAD Foundation team return during the holiday lessons for a continuation of the program.
The event concluded with awards and thoughtful gifts for participants who showed courage and growth. Though photography was restricted during this first visit, plans have been made for full documentation in the next session.
This outreach marks a significant milestone as The LEAD Foundation spreads its tentacles beyond Nigeria into Cameroon, expanding the reach of our mission to build confidence, literacy, and self-expression in young people across Africa.
